Mrs. Rajhuns Story
Since the early days of Pastor Joseph's ministry,
Mr. and Mrs. Rajhuns and their family have served
faithfully and loyally alongside him. In 1982, when
Pastor Joseph shared his vision of educating the slum
and street children of Mumbai in English, Mrs.
Rajhuns, 56 years old then and a retired principal of
one of Mumbai's leading girls school Queen Mary's,
made this vision a reality. When most others would
choose a retired life of bliss and comfort, she chose
to pioneer the school in Dharavi.
Today, at 78, she is dedicated to caring for her
husband Mr. PK Rajhuns, who is a young 86. She has
dedicated the other moments of her life to the
children of Dharavi, where she is still the effervescent,
ever active principal of the New Life School (English).
Her children and staff love her and more importantly
